MONTCLAIR, N.J. (PIX11) – A Montclair police officer was shot Monday afternoon, authorities said.
The incident happened in the 100 block of Forest Street in Montclair, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
“I can confirm that a police officer and a civilian have been transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating,” Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Fennelly said.
“Please keep him in your prayers,” the New Jersey State PBA posted on social media.
