NEW YORK (PIX11)– A few subway stations are getting much-needed upgrades, repairs and deep cleanings as part of the city’s “Re-NEW-vation” program, the MTA announced Tuesday.
During the first three months of 2024, the MTA completed upgrades at 13 subway stations throughout the city. Now 13 additional subway stations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx have been selected for the next phase of NYCT’s Re-NEW-vation Program.
“The Re-NEW-vacation program demonstrates for all of our riders that we are committed to cleaner, brighter, and safer stations, and easier commutes for everyone,” said MTA Chief Customer Officer Shanifah Rieara. “So far the program has reached stations in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx, and it’s not stopping anytime soon.”
A list of previously “Re-NEW-vated” subway lines can be found here.
