QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – Two people were injured, one critically, in a fire at a Queens residence early Sunday morning, according to the FDNY.

The fire broke out at a six-story building on 71st Avenue near 110th Street around 4:40 a.m., authorities said.

Two civilians were injured and rushed to an area hospital, where one person was in critical condition, according to the FDNY.

Some 60 firefighters and first responders put out the fire by around 5:10 a.m., officials said. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Videos posted to Citizen show broken windows and a handful of fire trucks outside the residence Sunday morning.
