QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) — NYPD officers shot a man wielding scissors inside a Queens building on Wednesday, according to police and law enforcement sources.
The incident happened in a building at 101-12 103rd St. near 101st Avenue in Ozone Park at around 1:40 p.m., police said. The man’s parents called 911 for his erratic behavior, sources said.
The man, 19, was waving a pair of scissors and came towards the officers before they opened fire, killing him, sources said. The cops were not injured.
