MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A 31-year-old man riding an e-bike was fatally hit by a man driving a box truck Monday morning in Harlem, according to officials.
Sezar Morales Linares was riding an e-bike north on Manhattan Avenue when he allegedly ignored the do not enter signs at West 122 Street around 6 a.m.. Linares rode the bike onto the sidewalk, lost control and fell into the street, according to officials.

A box truck driven by a 61-year-old man was driving south on Manhattan Avenue. Police said he tried to swerve to avoid Linares and hit a parked car.
When police arrived, they found Linares with injuries to his head and body, and he was unresponsive. According to police, he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The 61-year-old stayed at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
