BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police are searching for a man who allegedly took a dog from its Brooklyn home on March 18, according to the NYPD.
The incident happened at 9:30 a.m. near Jerome Street and Pitkin Avenue. A 74-year-old woman had let her dog, a Shih Tzu named Romeo Rivera, out for a bathroom break, according to authorities.
A man is then seen on video approaching the home and taking Romeo, police said. He was last seen fleeing southbound on Jerome Street toward Pitkin Avenue, according to authorities.
Police describe the man as last wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, black sneakers and a red baseball hat.
