CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn (PIX11) – Four people were injured in a shooting in Brooklyn Friday, officials said.

The shooting happened at West 33rd Street and Mermaid Avenue in Coney Island just before 5 p.m., according to the NYPD. A maroon minivan pulled up and someone opened fire at a group standing in front of 3222 Mermaid Avenue, authorities said.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in the torso, a 22-year-old man was shot in the leg, a 25-year-old man was shot in the leg and a 26-year-old man was shot in the leg, police said. All four victim are currently hospitalized in stable condition.

No arrests have been made. Additional suspect information wasn't immediately available.

The Coney Island shooting is unrelated to a shooting in the Bronx that left one man dead and three others injured earlier Friday afternoon.
