Energy and Infrastructure Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) on Monday morning blasted the protests planned to take place at railway stations. According to the organizers of the anti-government protests, protesters on Tuesday will arrive to demonstrate on train platforms. "What this means is a stop to the trains' operations and causing enormous suffering to hundreds of thousands of travelers, including many soldiers," Katz said. "Israel Police, which is responsible for instructing security for Israel Railways and for law enforcement, must prevent this disruption at any cost. Arrest those who incite rebellion and incite to harm freedom of movement, and use all means necessary in order to ensure the trains' movement and the welfare of the passengers. That is what is appropriate in a country of law." Last week, protestors demonstrated against judicial reform at Ben Gurion International Airport, as well as at other locations throughout the country. Some of these protests included burning tires, assaults on police officers, and other forms of violence a pile of tires was discovered at the airport. Dozens of protesters were arrested, but thus far no indictments have been filed. https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/374257
